Whitney Houston's daughter 'fine' following bathtub drama
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's daughter Bobbi Kristina is said to be "pretty good" and "doing fine" after she was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub at her home in Roswell, Georgia on Saturday (31Jan15).
The superstar offspring was found by her husband Nick Gordon, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her before she was rushed to hospital.
Her cousin Jerod Brown revealed the family is praying for a speedy
recovery at her bedside at North Fulton Hospital but did not
comment on reports she had been placed in a medically-induced
coma.
He tells Sky News, "She's pretty good right now, she's around
family. What I do want to say is thanks for all the prayers and
support that the fans have been showing Bobbi Kristina. We're just
praying for a speedy recovery, that's it. She's doing fine right
now. That's all I can give you right now. I'm pretty sure she'll be
getting out of there very soon.
Bobbi Kristina's bathtub incident comes just two weeks before the
third anniversary of her mother's death. Houston was found
unconscious in a hotel bathtub in Los Angeles on 11 February,
2012.
The cause of her death was accidental drowning, and a toxicology
report found the singer had a cocktail of drugs, including cocaine,
marijuana and Xanax, in her body.
When asked how Bobbi Kristina was coping with the forthcoming
anniversary, Jerod said, "She's in good spirits. Of course she goes
through the grieving because it's still fresh, but other than that
she's doing fine."
