Vin Diesel considers Katy Perry for xXx3

Katy Perry has become Vin Diesel's top choice to join the cast of his new xXx action movie.

The actor is reprising his role as action man Xander Cage in the second sequel after sitting out xXx: State of the Union, and he'd like the Firework singer to play his leading lady.

In a new Facebook.com interview, Diesel explains, "The new XXX script finally comes in next month... and just this morning people are suggesting Katy Perry as the new X girl."

And Perry appears to be interested - she tweeted, "YES VIN DIESEL" shortly after his statement.

Diesel initially caught Perry's attention earlier this week (begs27Jan14) after posting a bizarre new video, in which he filmed himself dancing to the pop star's Dark Horse song, online.

During the footage, Diesel explained he made the film to celebrate after hearing his movie Riddick had topped the nation's DVD sales chart.
