Victoria Beckham out of Spice Girls reunion tour talks
Victoria Beckham will not be involved in the rumoured Spice Girls 20th anniversary reunion tour, her bandmate Melanie Chisholm has confirmed.
The Spice Up Your Life singers hit headlines in August (15) when a report suggested Victoria, Melanie and their bandmates Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton would be reuniting for a tour in 2016 to celebrate 20 years since the release of their debut single Wannabe.
Mel C and Emma joked about the rumours on Twitter.com and Geri
admitted there had been talks, but nothing official has been
scheduled.
Victoria, who left her pop career behind to become a fashion
designer, previously said she had no intention of singing again
after the group's appearance at the 2012 Olympic Games in London,
and Mel C has now confirmed Victoria is not involved in talks.
"Victoria has said she doesn't want to perform again, which is
understandable," she tells Britain's The Sun newspaper. "She fully
supports the four of us because we might want to have another go.
It's very amicable."
Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean has also reignited speculation the
boyband could go on a joint trek with the British girl group.
"The Spice Girls tour has been this idea bouncing around for the
past year and a half and it's something we're still talking about",
he told Rollingstone.com.
