Usher shows off red eye amid reports of New Year's Eve fight

R&B superstar Usher is nursing a bloodied eye after reportedly becoming involved in a brawl at a New Year's Eve (31Dec14) party.

The Yeah! hitmaker rang in 2015 at a club in Miami, Florida, where he was hired to host a big end-of-year bash, but he was allegedly left with a minor injury after clashing with another reveller, who is said to have insulted the singer's manager partner, Grace Miguel.

The 36 year old showed off the red eye in a close-up snap on Instagram.com on Thursday (01Jan15), and although he didn't comment directly on what caused the injury, he appeared to laugh off the incident in the caption, by writing, "You should see the other guy!!"

The news emerges amid rumours suggesting Usher and Miguel are engaged to wed, after she was recently photographed wearing what appeared to be a large engagement band on her left ring finger.

Usher began dating Miguel following his 2008 split from first wife Tameka Foster.
