Tyga hit with legal papers at shoe launch

Rapper Tyga was served with a court summons on Tuesday (31Mar15) as he was launching a new shoe design.

The hip-hop star was signing the gold sneakers for fans to promote his collaboration with sports brand L.A. Gear at Shiekh Shoes in Los Angeles when a man posing as a fan presented him with legal papers while Tyga was scribbling his signature on a shoebox.

Video footage captured by TMZ.com shows Tyga reading the paperwork before posing with the man for a photograph.

Outside the store, the man, who identified himself only as Cal, said, "I gave him a summons to appear in court... It's not a charge... he's not paying somebody."
