Tyga: 'Cash Money bosses still owe me $12 million'

Tyga is planning to sue former record label boss Bryan 'Birdman' Williams to fight for the $12 million the rapper alleges he is still owed.

The Rack City hitmaker voiced his displeasure with Williams and Cash Money Records in December, 2014, days after labelmate Lil Wayne publicly declared he wanted out of his contract with the company.

Tyga managed to cut ties with the firm in 2015 and was finally able to release The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty independently after months of delays on Cash Money, and last September (16), he signed to Kanye West's label, G.O.O.D. Music.

At the time, the 27-year-old never disclosed the terms surrounding his departure from Williams' label, but in a candid interview with New York radio show The Breakfast Club, he reveals he had to pay to dump his contract, which he signed in 2011.

Now Tyga wants to take legal action to obtain the millions he insists remain outstanding: "I had to pay to get out...," he said. "It's at least $12 million they owe me."

However, he won't file suit until after Wayne completes his ongoing $51 million royalties battle, which he filed in early 2015 against his former mentor Williams and his brother Ronald 'Slim' Williams, accusing them of withholding money he was owed for his long-delayed album Tha Carter V.

"Right now, I just want Wayne to get what he's owed," Tyga explained. "I don't even wanna throw nothing more on that situation. I wanna see Wayne kinda like prosper from that (legal fight), and then I can go see (about suing) (sic)."

The Williams brothers have yet to respond to Tyga's allegations of outstanding payments.
