TV doctor Caterina Scorsone gives birth on election day
Grey'S Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone is a new mom.
The actress gave birth to her second child on Tuesday (08Nov16) and used the baby news to support presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
"I'm with her. Introducing Paloma Michaela Giles. The future is
female," the 35-year-old actress wrote in a caption accompanying a
photo of her new born, who was wearing an 'I Voted' sticker.
Little Paloma joins older sister Eliza, who Scorsone and her
husband Rob Giles welcomed in July, 2012.
The actress' real-life pregnancy didn't feature in Grey's Anatomy,
but her character, Dr. Amelia Shepherd, did have a recent pregnancy
scare.
Baby news is a big deal on the set of the medical drama right now
after Scorsone's co-star Camilla Luddington announced last month
(Oct16) she was expecting.
The actress, who also portrayed British royal Kate Middleton in TV
movie William & Kate, announced the happy news on Instagram,
together with a picture of a Halloween pumpkin.
The 32-year-old wrote: "We are beyond happy and i cannot wait to
bring you all on this journey with me!!!! I'll be posting progress
pics as the weeks go on but for now i figured id (sic) post this
pumpkin because come spring ill have a belly that size..."
She added, "I am SO excited to FINALLY share with you all news that
ive (sic) managed to keep secret for what seems like forever now...
This girl gets to be a 'cool mom' ha!"
The child's father is actor Matthew Alan.
