The Weeknd creates capsule collection with Alexander Wang
R&B star The Weeknd has collaborated with top designer Alexander Wang for a new capsule collection he's modelling on his current tour.
The Can't Feel My Face singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, kicked off his The Madness tour in his native Toronto, Canada on Tuesday (03Nov15), and his stage wardrobe features brand new pieces from his WANGxo menswear range.
Wang revealed the news on Instagram.com on Wednesday (04Nov15),
when he shared a video promo for the line and debuted its new
label, which features The Weeknd's 'XO' logo. He captioned it,
"#WANGxo Stay tuned. @abelxo".
The former Balenciaga creative director followed it up with a snap
of the star onstage debuting the new clothes.
Alongside the image, he wrote, "@abelxo wears exclusively
#AlexanderWang Menswear & #WANGXO for his "The Madness" Fall 2015
arena tour.
"WANGXO is a limited edition capsule collection, co-designed by
Alexander Wang & #TheWeeknd's XO brand.
Stay tuned for more details..."
It's the latest big project for The Weeknd after lending his name
to a new line of marijuana vaporisers by San Francisco,
California-based firm PAX. The company also serves as an official
co-sponsor of the singer's current North American tour.
