The Voice stars sweat it out on TV after air conditioning fails
Usher and Shakira sweated it out on TV on Monday night (13May13) when faulty air conditioning turned the Universal studio where they film The Voice into a sauna.
Los Angeles' spring heatwave knocked out the building's air just before the start of the show, prompting host Carson Daly to tell viewers about the conditions he, the judges, performers and audience members were struggling with.
Cool Usher overheated at one point and removed his leather jacket,
while co-judges Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton commented
and complained about the sweatshop temperatures.
Daly told viewers, "If it reaches a certain degree in here, the
lights could go out."
The air conditioning issues were fixed halfway through the show and
the stars ended the program in comfort.
