The Script rescue woman from car wreckage
Members of boyband The Script rescued a woman from the smoking wreckage of a car after it crashed into a barrier on a British highway.
The Irish singers were on their way to Manchester, England to record a slot for British radio station Key 103's Christmas Live Show on Thursday (04Dec14) when the accident occurred.
They saw the car crash on the M40 motorway, and they immediately
pulled over and called emergency services before running to help
the trapped woman.
Frontman Danny O'Donoghue told Key 103 listeners about the drama,
saying, "We called 911 (sic) then ran over to the car. She was
saying she couldn't feel her legs, which was scary, but we managed
to unjam the door and get her out."
After freeing the unnamed motorist, the boys took her to their tour
bus, giving her a jacket and something to drink, before she
suddenly realised who her rescuers were.
O'Donoghue adds, "We were sat there and suddenly she said, 'Oh my
God, you're the Script!' Then she jumped out of the van. I was
like, 'Sit down!' She's a big fan which is amazing... It's all in a
day's work."
