Nicole Trunfio and Jessica Hart in elevator horror

A baby shower for Australian model Nicole Trunfio descended into chaos when partygoers including supermodel Jessica Hart got trapped inside an elevator.

Catwalk beauties Hart and Jessica Gomes threw the baby shower for their pregnant pal Trunfio at Hart's apartment in New York City on Wednesday (03Dec14), but the group of almost a dozen models got trapped in the elevator as they headed outside for pizza.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six that the elevator's cable malfunctioned and the girls dropped "several feet to the basement and were stuck for 20 minutes".

The women, all dressed in blue 'onesie' pyjamas, had to call the New York Fire Department to rescue them from the elevator shaft.

Trunfio's friend Brooke Caldwell shared snaps on Instagram.com of the pyjama-clad girls posing with firefighters before seeking out their pizza truck, which Hart had hired for the shower.

Trunfio announced in November (14) that she and her fiance Gary Clark, Jr. are expecting their first child. She is reportedly seven months pregnant.
