The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes gives birth

The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes is a first-time mother after giving birth on Monday (20May13).

The 24 year old welcomed a baby daughter named Alaia-Mai, her first child with husband Marvin Humes of British boyband JLS.

Proud dad Marvin took to Twitter.com to share the happy news, writing, "This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes... Mum is doing great + baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love."

Humes isn't the first member of The Saturdays to become a mother - Una Healy had a daughter last year (12), and their bandmate Frankie Sandford is currently expecting her first child.

The girl group tweeted best wishes to the new parents, writing, "Massive congrats (sic) and lots of love to Marvin and Rochelle on the birth of Alaia-Mai! We can't wait to meet our new niece!" while former Spice Girl Emma Bunton adds, "Marvin... sending you all big cuddles, how amazing! Well done mummy Rochelle."
