The-Dream snubbed by Drake after Shut It Down
R&B star and producer The-Dream has no interest in working with Drake ever again, because the rapper failed to return the favor of a collaboration earlier on in his career.
The-Dream was among the hitmakers who contributed to the Canadian star's debut album Thank Me Later, with the pair teaming up for the track Shut It Down back in 2010.
However, they haven't hit the studio since that release, and the Falsetto singer, who has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Justin Bieber, reveals it's all because Drake subsequently declined to record a guest feature for The-Dream's own project.
"When the next album came along, I asked him to get on the record and he never got on the record, and so I'm only going to ask you once, especially when I've already done something for you," he explained to Genius. "That was it. That was the end of the Drake and Dream era of a record."
