Teen Wolf to end after sixth season
Hit sci-fi TV series Teen Wolf will come to an end after its upcoming sixth season.
The cast and producers of the beloved drama were on hand for a panel at San Diego's Comic Con on Thursday (21Jul16), but they delivered disappointing news to the hundreds of fans in the room, revealing the show will end next year (17) with its 100th episode.
"Teen Wolf has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the
hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could've ever
imagined," executive producer Jeff Davis said. "We're eternally
grateful for the support we've received over these past six years
and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling
adventure."
Many of the cast members, including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden,
Dylan Sprayberry, and Cody Christian, spoke at the panel to discuss
the final season, which kicks off in November (16).
The series has garnered a strong fan base over the years, and made
breakout stars out of Posey and Dylan O'Brien, who was noticeably
missing from the event.
The 24-year-old was filming the third instalment of movie franchise
The Maze Runner earlier this year (16), when he was hit by a car
and suffered a concussion and multiple injuries. Production on the
movie was put on hold as he continued to recover.
Despite the accident, O'Brien will still have a major arc in the
upcoming sixth and final season of Teen Wolf, which is a remake of
the 1985 Michael J. Fox feature film of the same name.
