Taymor's Spider-Man cash battle heads to arbitration

Former Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark director Julie Taymor and the producers of the Broadway musical are expected to enter arbitration next week (beg03Oct11) over an alleged $500,000 settlement.
Taymor, who departed the much-maligned show in March (11), filed a claim in June that she never received royalties from the production and was still owed fees for helping to launch the spectacular.
Producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris have claimed they are not under any obligation to pay royalties to Taymor, insisting she was dismissed for "breach of contract".
