Taylor Swift to receive first-ever Generation Award at Canadian awards show

Singer Taylor Swift is set to be honored with the first-ever Generation Award at the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Awards on Sunday (09Sep12).
The Love Story hitmaker, 22, will be celebrated for her career achievements during the prizegiving ceremony in Saskatoon.
Executive Ted Ellis says, "Taylor Swift embodies every aspect of
the CCMA Generation Award. Since 2010, she has not only become the
biggest selling country artist in Canada, she is also one of the
top selling artists in the world, across all genres."
Dozens of celebrities will be on hand to cheer on Swift as she
scoops up the trophy - Jason Aldean, Eric Church, and Miranda
Lambert and her female band the Pistol Annies are all scheduled to
perform during the event.
