Taylor Swift set for Christmas chart double in U.S.

Written by . Published: December 20 2014

Taylor Swift is set to land a rare Christmas chart double thanks to an expected sales boost of her 1989 album.

The release is set to return to the top of the Billboard 200 countdown next week (beg22Dec14) with pre-Christmas sales expected to close in on 400,000 over the weekend (20-21Dec14) and beyond.

If the album returns to number one, it will give Swift her 30th week on top of the chart - Fearless led for 11 weeks in 2008 and 2009, Speak Now spent six weeks on top in 2010 and 2011 and her last album Red was at number one for seven weeks in 2012 and 2013.

Swift's Blank Space is currently at number one on the Hot 100 singles chart.
