Taylor Swift scoops top prize at fragrance awards

Taylor Swift was the princess of perfumes on Wednesday (12Jun13) as she landed a top prize at a prestigious fragrance awards ceremony.

The singer, who has released a scent called Wonderstruck and a spin-off, Wonderstruck Enchanted, landed the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year prize at the Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City.

Speaking on the red carpet at the event, she tells AOL.com, "It's wonderful to be honoured for a fragrance that we did. With Wonderstruck, we tried to build the story of the fragrance, visually. It all came together so beautifully... I'm really happy that it was well received by the fans. Getting this award is such an honour."

Swift wasn't the only pop star winner at the event - Justin Bieber's scent Girlfriend was voted female consumers' favourite fragrance.
