Jennifer Lopez is 2,500th Walk of Fame star

Jennifer Lopez has landed the landmark 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The award-winning superstar, who began her career as an actress before branching out into the music industry and becoming a global sensation, will be awarded the special honour to mark her stellar career.

Lopez will attend the unveiling ceremony on 20 June (13), when her star on the famed Los Angeles sidewalk will be revealed.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, says, "In 1994, Sophia Loren became the recipient of the 2,000th star on the Walk of Fame. This ceremony marks the 2,500th star on our famous Walk and Jennifer Lopez was the obvious choice! Fans from across the world will be thrilled to experience this special star ceremony."

Last year (12), Lopez was named the Most Powerful Celebrity in the World by editors at Forbes Magazine.
