Taylor Swift laughs off Calvin Harris marriage rumours

Taylor Swift has brushed off rumours suggesting she is planning to wed boyfriend Calvin Harris in a lavish castle ceremony by mocking media reports on Twitter.

The Shake It Off star's romance with the DJ has become tabloid fodder since they began dating in February (15), and just last month (Aug15) she had to deny claims she was on the verge of purchasing a castle in her beau's native Scotland.

Now Taylor has poked fun at the latest round of gossip, which suggests the pop couple is heading down the aisle and setting up home in the Beverly Hills, California estate designed by late movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn.

"What the press says I'm doing: Buying a Bev (sic) Hills mansion, getting married in an English castle", she writes on Twitter. "What I'm doing: Playing a show in St. Louis."

Taylor will hit the stage in St. Louis, Missouri for the second of two sold-out gigs in the city as part of her 1989 World Tour on Tuesday night (29Sep15).

Taylor and Calvin have been giving fans sneak peeks into their relationship by sharing photos on social media in recent months, and the DJ previously gushed about his girlfriend - and the gossip that comes with it - on London radio station KISS FM.

He said, "It's interesting because obviously there's different things written about it every day and even if we don't do anything publicly for a while, someone will make something up...

"For me it could be a lot worse and I'd still be, like, insanely happy with her, so I'm good with it... It does get more and more ridiculous, from me apparently being allergic to cats or Taylor and I are moving in together or we're getting married next week. It's a lot but you've just got to take it how it is, which is that it's a news story that people read but it's just not real life."
