Taylor Swift gave Dwayne Johnson the OK to Shake It Off on lip sync show

Furious 7 star Dwayne Johnson has publicly thanked Taylor Swift for allowing him to mime along to her hit Shake It Off in a new TV show.

The action man, formerly known as wrestler The Rock, picked the song for new show Lip Sync Battle, and then had to make sure the singer would be OK with him using it.

He says, "I got to send her a personal appreciation... because she's notorious for protecting her music and her content, which she should be, but she heard I wanted to sing Shake It Off and she was like, 'Rock got it, just take it...' I got the blessing from Tay Tay."

Lip Sync Battle premiered last week (02Apr15).
