Taylor Swift embarks on road trip with Karlie Kloss

Taylor Swift hit the road with model pal Karlie Kloss for an adventurous trip up the California coast.

The Love Story hitmaker recently wrapped up the third leg of her highly-successful Red tour last month (Feb14), and she's back on the road again - but this time she left her guitar behind and took her famous friend instead.

In a series of photos posted on Instagram on Wednesday (05Mar14), both Swift and Kloss shared their road trip to Big Sur, California, with their followers.

Swift posted a photo of her hanging on to a giant sign at the entrance of the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, as the Victoria's Secret model sits on top of it, along with the caption, "California here we come, right back where we started from... ROAD TRIP!!"

The pair explored the giant Redwood trees inside the park and one of Swift's photos featured the two pals in the middle of a forest, standing underneath a massive tree trunk.

Swift and Kloss even made a pit stop at a local bakery before hitting the beach, where Kloss posted a photo of herself writing "Karlie loves Taylor" in the sand.

The gal pals each posted the same black and white photo of Kloss kissing Swift on the cheek, as the singer wrote, "Beach, forests, cliffs, Northern California, sand, flower picking. Best road trip ever."
