Taylor Swift chops off long locks to celebrate end of tour
Taylor Swift cut off her long locks on Tuesday (11Feb14) to celebrate the end of her year-long world tour.
The music superstar's massive Red Tour ended at London's O2 Arena to a sold-out crowd, and following her final show, Swift took to Instagram.com to show off her new hairdo.
Sharing a photo of herself with special guest Ellie Goulding, who
joined Swift onstage for a duet of the Brit singer's hit Burn,
Swift added the caption, "London, I could never thank you enough.
See you next time! PS: short hair, don't care. (!!!)"
The blonde beauty also posted a video prior to the haircut showing
a large group of pals gathered around her, as she jokes, "We don't
do anything without an audience, do we?"
Among her celebrity friends to witness the chop were Goulding,
model Cara Delevingne and her ex-beau Harry Styles.
Fans have also speculated that the short cut was inspired by late
actress Shirley Temple, who passed away on Monday (10Feb14) and was
known for her signature curly blonde hair.
Before her show on Tuesday, Swift wrote on Twitter.com, "Sitting
backstage at the O2 in London, thinking about what an impressive
and extraordinary life Shirley Temple led. Thanks for the
memories."
