Taylor Swift celebrates birthday with concert movie announcement
Taylor Swift is in a giving mood as she celebrates her 26th birthday, offering up a new concert film online.
As the pop star celebrated on Sunday (13Dec15), Apple Music bosses announced plans to release footage from her 28 November (15) 1989 world tour concert in New Zealand.
The film, directed by Jonas Akerlund, will be available on Apple's
streaming service from 20 December (15). It will feature
never-before-seen footage from backstage and tour rehearsals, as
well as the special guests who have joined the pop star during the
tour, including Mick Jagger, Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez and
Miranda Lambert, among others.
In a trailer, Swift says, "Getting ready for this I wondered about
a lot of things. I wondered what it would be like to perform for
70,000 people. I wondered what would happen if I invited the most
amazing artists in the world to come out with me and perform on my
stage - would they do it?"
Meanwhile, Swift's 'squad' of celebrity pals took to social media
on Sunday to wish the singer a happy birthday.
Selena Gomez posted a photo of the pals together on Instagram and
added the caption: "I don't know life without you Taylor. Happy
birthday!" while model Gigi Hadid wrote, "What a year, T! Love you,
so proud and grateful to call you my friend. You are beyond. Happy
Birthday - can't wait to celebrate soooon."
And actress Jaime King also hit Instagram with a special early
birthday message and a photo of her pal on Saturday, writing,
"Tomorrow is your birthday and I will be in the air. This picture I
took of you brings back the fondest of memories. It captures all of
your beauty that I know, that the world knows, in one photograph.
You have the uncanny ability to just get straight into the Soul's
of us all in one shot. With your music, you grab the hearts of
countless hearts & don't let go."
"As my sister, with your irresistible enthusiasm, un-f**king
unbeatable passion and true honesty, feels like home," King added.
"To have changed the perception of female friendships (even in the
smallest way) because somehow, in this crazy world where women want
to hurt each other, we have a thoughtful group of friends where we
have chosen to love each other through it all, and support our
peers along the way & with open arms you bring this sisterhood to
life Intimately and sincerely.
"I love you, I am profoundly proud of you, your Light is a rare and
brilliant gift. Happy Birthday!!!"
King recently called on Swift to be her son Leo's godmother.
Taylor jetted back to Los Angeles early on Sunday, after wrapping
the final show of her seven-month 1989 tour in Melbourne, Australia
on Saturday (12Dec15).
Celebrating her birthday, she posted a photo of herself as a child
with the caption: "Today I begin my 26th year of freaking out over
stuff."
