Taylor Swift calls cancer-stricken fan

Taylor Swift thrilled a young cancer sufferer by calling her for a chat on Tuesday (28Apr15).

The Shake It Off hitmaker, who revealed earlier this month (Apr14) that her mother Andrea Finlay is battling the disease, picked up the phone for a 10-minute call to Emily Beazley, who suffers from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The 12-year-old girl's mother Nadia tells NBC Chicago, "The smile on my daughter (is one) I have not seen in a very, very long time. I could cry."

Emily previously revealed one of her final wishes was to speak to the singer.

Swift is known for her devotion to her fans and in the past she has sent Christmas presents to followers and held private listening sessions in her home.
