Storms leave Niall Horan's Christmas homecoming in doubt

Written by . Published: December 24 2013

One Direction star Niall Horan is struggling to get home for Christmas (25Dec13) after severe storms caused travel chaos across the U.K.

Heavy rain and gale force winds have lashed most of the country since the weekend (21-22Dec13), sparking misery for commuters trying to see their families over the festive period.

Flights out of London were restricted due to the freak weather, leaving Horan stranded in the U.K. capital as he tried to jet back to his native Mullingar, Ireland on Monday (23Dec13).

Taking to Twitter.com, he writes, "Well this is s**t! Looks like we ain't goin home for Xmas! F**k you wind."

Horan then appeared resigned to spending Christmas Day at his London home, adding, "Looks like we'll just put the heating back on! Go food shoppin!"

His pal, Willie Devine, who had also planned to head home to Ireland with Horan, wrote, "Wanted: two spaces at a Christmas dinner table this side of the Irish Sea for myself and NiallOfficial."
