Stars pay Twitter tribute to dads on Father's Day
A host of famous fathers including Nathan Followill, Rob Lowe and Mark Ruffalo have taken to Twitter.com to mark Father's Day (15Jun14).
The stars uploaded moving messages to their own dads, and their kids, in celebration of the international day which honors fatherhood.
Kings of Leon rocker Followill, who is dad to daughter Violet,
enjoyed breakfast with the tot ahead of his set at Britain's Isle
of Wight Festival on Sunday night (15Jun14).
He tweeted: "Happy Fathers Day. Breakfast & lunch with Violet,
dinner with a few thousand friends at Isle of Wight. See y'all
soon."
Actor Lowe, who is currently in London, reveals he will celebrate
Father's Day by watching tennis star Andy Murray on the court,
writing, "Father's day in London. Off to Queen's Cup. Go Andy!"
Father of three Ruffalo adds, "Happy Fathers Day , brother Dads!",
while British pop star Marvin Humes writes, "Happy Father's Day to
my amazing Dad Colin Humes... you are now and will always be The
Man! See u (sic) tonight!"
Humes' singer wife Rochelle also tweeted a sentimental message to
mark the day, writing: "Happy Father's Day to my one and only -
MarvinHumes The best dad our baby girl could ever ask for. We love
you soooo (sic) much."
The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin added a tribute to his own dad,
tweeting, "Happy Father's Day to the big man @markclaflin. Wish
England (soccer team) could've have worked some magic for you last
night (at the World Cup)... Have a great day mate."
The England team was beaten 2-1 by Italy in their opening World Cup
game.
Meanwhile, Limp Bizkit star Fred Durst provided his own rock 'n'
roll Father's Day message, writing, "Happy Father's Day to the
present and loving fathers out there. The rest of ya loser dads can
suck it (sic)."
And Rihanna tweeted, "Happy Father's Day Pops! I love you deeply
and unconditionally! You've taught me so much about myself!"
She later added, "Happy Father's Day to the step fathers who step
up for the fathers who cant! And especially to the Mothers who have
to be both, we adore you."
Actress Eva Longoria also tweeted, "Happy Father's Day to all the
dads in the world but especially mine!! I love u daddy!" And Sharon
Osbourne paid tribute to the men in her life - husband Ozzy and son
Jack, writing, "Happy Father's Day to my Husband @OzzyOsbourne and
my Son @JackOsbourne. I’m so proud of you both. You’re both crazy
f**ks, but I love you."
Glee star Lea Michele completed the collection of celebrities
remembering their dads - she posted a picture of herself in a
football costume with her father and the caption, "Happy Fathers
Day to the greatest dad in the whole world! Thank you for always
making me and mommy laugh we love you!"
