R&B star Solange Knowles has launched her own record label.
Beyonce's younger sister will return to her roots at Sony Music Entertainment after landing a distribution deal for her own imprint, Saint Records.
Breaking the news to fans via Twitter.com, she writes, "Super
stoked to announce I've started my own label,SAINT RECORDS,where
I'll be releasing my music & other projects distributed through
SONY!
"Through Saint Records I will have 100% creative/artistic control &
continue to passionately pursue my footing in this new musical
movement."
The singer and DJ, who is currently working on her as-yet-untitled
third album, released her Solo Star debut on Sony subsidiary, Music
World Entertainment/Columbia Records in 2003.
