Sofia Vergara created new scent specially for her wedding day

Bride-to-be Sofia Vergara created her new perfume so she could wear it on her wedding day.

The Modern Family beauty is set to wed actor Joe Manganiello in November (15) and she reveals her second fragrance, appropriately titled Love, was concocted for her special day.

Vergara admits the scent, which features notes of mandarin and orange blossom, reminds her of her native Colombia as it also boasts the smell of the nation's coffee flower, too.

She tells Women's Wear Daily, "I wanted (the scents) to be meaningful and real to me."

And talking about the creative process, she adds, "The first time (for debut perfume Sofia) I had to learn to understand the process, and we went back and forth a lot, because I wanted to make sure it was something I'd be proud to wear. If people told me that I smelled good, I wanted to be able to say, 'It's my perfume'. The second time it was easier, especially as we built Love on the Sofia scent."

Vergara is now eager to continue expanding her fragrance line: "It's such an interesting business. It's very rewarding and a lot of fun. I love perfume. I like the whole ritual of showering and getting ready - I don't feel complete if I don't put a nice fragrance on."

Love is due for release in October (15).
