Sofia Richie: 'I'm not dating Tobey Maguire'

Justin Bieber's ex Sofia Richie has angrily blasted rumors linking her to newly-single actor Tobey Maguire.

The teenager was spotted hanging out with the former Spider-Man at 1 OAK nightclub in Los Angeles just before he announced his divorce from jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, prompting speculation Tobey and Sofia were a new item.

But Richie dismissed the story when she was asked to comment by reporters as she left Catch LA in Hollywood after dinner with pal Paris Hilton.

"Are you... joking?" Sofia, 18, told TMZ. "Dumb question... Literally stop asking because it's a... rumor."

Tobey and his wife of nine years announced they were separating earlier this week (beg17Oct16). The estranged couple released a joint statement, which read: "After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship."

Maguire, 41, and Meyer, 39 met in 2003 and wed in Hawaii four years later.
