Slipknot stars will learn how to produce movies on the job
Masked Slipknot rockers Shawn Crahan and Corey Taylor will take a "back seat" when it comes to producing movies via their new film company - because they will be learning on the job.
The stars launched Living Breathing Films with a party at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah this weekend (21-22Jan12) and the movie newcomers are so determined to get it right, they've vowed to take it one step at a time.
Corey Taylor tells WENN, "We're very passionate (about films) but
we're kind of taking the back seat as producers."
Shawn Crahan says, "We've never done it before so it will be
learning and finding our way. We don't want to make a fast food
film. We want to make something people will watch and say, 'You
gotta see this.' We're more about word of mouth films."
And the pair is already looking to expand so everything from the
plot to the score of their movie projects will be done
in-house.
Shawn Crahan adds, "We'd like to open up a little sister company
underneath the movie company where we do produce the soundtracks.
We want to work with artists that we love and ones that we're fans
of and give them the opportunity to be part of our projects. We
don't have an ego where we have to do it."
