Sir Elton hosts charity ball

Dame Shirley Bassey and David Walliams joined Sir Elton John in London on Saturday night (29Oct11) for his annual Gray Goose Winter Ball.

The Rocket Man and his partner David Furnish were on hosting duties at the Battersea Evolution venue, and welcomed guests including actress Jaime Winstone and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The gala, which raised money for the Elton John Aids Foundation, was clearly the hottest ticket in town - former tennis ace Boris Becker even hobbled into the venue on crutches, despite nursing a foot injury.

The event also featured a special auction, which saw designer Christian Louboutin's shoe-inspired cocktail bar go under the hammer, while a new Gray Goose vodka cocktail he created was served to guests during the party.
