Sick Keira Knightley forces cancellation of Broadway show
Broadway fans were left disappointed on Wednesday (07Oct15) after a "minor injury" to Keira Knightley forced Therese Raquin producers to cancel the evening performance of the play.
Officials at the Roundabout Theater Company have not released any further details, but they expect the actress to resume her role on Thursday (08Oct15).
The new play has already seen its fair share of drama - its first
night of previews was disrupted last week (01Oct15) when fan Landon
Rust, 29, began shouting at Keira from a mezzanine and threw
flowers at the Studio 54 stage.
The devotee asked the 30-year-old star to marry him and begged for
a response, as Keira and her castmate, Gabriel Ebert, attempted to
ignore him.
The culprit was promptly escorted out of the theater by security
guards.
The new mom, who is already married to Klaxons rocker James
Righton, allegedly reported the harassment incident to police on
Friday (02Oct15), in an effort to avoid any further issues with
Landon.
The play, based on the novel by Emile Zola, will officially open on
29 October (15).
