Sia: 'I always sing my heart out live'

Sia appears to have addressed the controversy surrounding a recent Tel Aviv show in Israel, insisting she always sings her heart out onstage.

Sources tell The Jerusalem Post a group of fans have launched a class action lawsuit against the promoter of last week's (11Aug16) Yarkon Park gig after a "lacklustre" Sia played for just 65 minutes, standing at the back of the stage.

The fans claim the concert was "impersonal" and the singer didn't acknowledge them or where she was, while video screens at the side of the stage featured pre-recorded video rather than live footage of the headliner, making it difficult for many fans to see her.

The promoter revealed earlier this week (beg15Aug16) he had not received the lawsuit and insisted Sia would not be named among the defendants.

On Friday (19Aug16), as she prepared for weekend shows (20-21Aug16) in England as part of the V Festival, Sia broke her silence following the gig fall-out with a cryptic tweet that seemed to address the drama.

She wrote: "This euro tour has been amazing. Thank you all for singing at the top of your lungs and for welcoming me with such open hearts.

"I put everything I have into my show - it's abstract for sure, but I'm singing my heart out live and every moment is purely intentional."

Her tour promoter, Ilan Elkayam, has already hit back at the lawsuit, stating, "We wish to emphasise that the show was extremely successful. We have received hundreds of comments from satisfied fans who thoroughly enjoyed the performance and production."
