Shanna Moakler raising money for sister's cancer treatment

Former beauty queen and Playboy Playmate Shanna Moakler is staging a fundraising event to help pay for her sister's cancer treatment.

The star, who was married to Blink-182 rocker Travis Barker, was left devastated last month (Apr12) when her sibling Michelle Tucker was diagnosed with lung and lymph node cancer.

Tucker began chemotherapy on Sunday (06May12), and Moakler is organising a fundraiser in Rhode Island to help ease the financial burden on her sister, who does not have medical insurance or benefits.

In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "My sister started chemo today. She has Stage 3 lung and lymph node cancer. We are having a fundraiser/support benefit for her...

"If U (sic) are in RI (Rhode Island) & would like to come it will be June 30th at the DIP Club from 6 to 11pm! Let's show her how much she is loved!"
