Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner in talks for The Lion King voice roles
Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner are reportedly in talks to voice Timon and Pumbaa in the live-action remake of Disney's The Lion King.
The Knocked Up star will reportedly voice warthog Pumbaa and comedian Eichner will voice his meerkat sidekick Timon, who both help raise main character Simba from a cub to a fully grown lion after he runs away from home.
They will join previously announced cast members which include Donald Glover, who will voice Simba, and James Earl Jones, who will reprise his role as Simba's father Mufasa from the 1994 animation. It has also been reported that Disney bosses are eyeing Beyonce for the part of Nala.
The Lion King remake will be directed by Jon Favreau, who helmed The Jungle Book reboot, from a script by Jeff Nathanson. It is slated for release on July 19, 2019.
Timon and Pumbaa were originally voiced by Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella.
