Selena Gomez gushes about 'normal' Justin Bieber romance

Selena Gomez has opened up about her romance with teen superstar Justin Bieber, insisting her previous relationship with another famous boyfriend wasn't nearly so "normal".

The singer/actress, who was linked to stars including Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner before she started dating Bieber in 2010, has spoken candidly about her current relationship, revealing they enjoy going to movies so they can "hang out" like every other teenager.

Gomez also compares her romance with Bieber to another unnamed famous boyfriend, insisting she hated sneaking around to avoid being seen together.

She tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "I'm just like every 19-year-old girl. If you're in love, you're in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible. I'm fortunate that I've found someone who has that philosophy...

"I was in a relationship previously where I had to hide everything and it wasn't my choice. I had to go through different exits and take separate cars and do the craziest things, and it just really wasn't worth it. It was like a year of my life completely wasted."
