Selena Gomez Debuts The Weeknd Romance on Social Media

Selena Gomez has made her romance with The Weeknd official by posting a video on social media on Monday (30Jan17).

The Come & Get It singer shocked fans when she was pictured kissing the Starboy hitmaker outside restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California earlier in January (17). On Friday (27Jan17), they took their romance international with a trip to Florence, Italy where they were spotted sightseeing, shopping and dining in the city's Piazza Santo Spirito.

Selena took the relationship to another level by sharing a video of The Weeknd sitting in the back of a boat during a canal ride on Monday (30Jan). In the black and white clip, he is wearing sunglasses, a camouflage hoodie over his head and a denim jacket.

The Instagram post, which has since been deleted, was accompanied by a simple emoji face with love heart eyes.

It is thought the couple has now moved onto Venice, as local fans took to Twitter to post selfies taken with the singer and confirmed she was traveling with The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye.

Sources recently told E! News that they aren't taking the relationship too seriously, especially as he only split from model Bella Hadid late last year (16).

"As of now, they are just having fun and enjoying each other," one insider said, while another added, "They are taking things slow and getting to know each other... Selena was focusing on getting herself back together and The Weeknd was just getting out of a relationship (with Bella), plus putting out his new album."

Bella has not taken to her ex's new relationship very well and reportedly unfollowed Selena on social media, while Selena's ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber told TMZ he wasn't a fan of The Weeknd's music, saying, "Hell nah. That s**t's wack (bad)!"
