Sean 'Diddy' Combs dismisses love split rumours

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has dismissed rumours of a split from girlfriend Cassie by sharing a sweet birthday message for the singer on social media.

The 46-year-old Bad Boy Records boss celebrated Cassie turning 30 on Friday (26Aug16) with a photo montage on Instagram.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! @cassie I LOVE YOU ALWAYS. GOD BLESS YOU," he wrote, alongside several heart emojis.

The public declaration of love emerged days after reports suggested Diddy and Cassie had parted ways following a heated argument last week (ends21Aug16), when police were called to investigate.

According to editors at TMZ.com, Diddy grabbed the Me&U singer's phone during the argument and jumped out of their car in Beverly Hills before Cassie left with the driver.

The 46-year-old father-of-six eventually returned the phone to his girlfriend, but not before Cassie's mother had called the cops.

Cassie is said to have played down the situation to authorities, but cops allegedly logged a domestic incident report. The couple reportedly split shortly afterwards.

The stars have yet to comment on the fight or the break-up rumours, which came at a tough time for Diddy as he recovers from rotator cuff surgery on his shoulder. He also recently announced he would be delaying the start of his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour.

The I'll Be Missing You star is reuniting with artists from his Bad Boy Records label, including Lil' Kim, Faith Evans, French Montana and Mase, for a tour, which was due to begin on 25 August (16) in Columbus, Ohio.

However, he announced on 19 August (16) the tour will now begin on 1 September (16) in Chicago, Illinois as he needs time to recover from his shoulder surgery.
