Sean 'Diddy' Combs credits Notorious B.I.G. in TV network launch
Sean 'Diddy' Combs remembered his late protege Notorious B.I.G. on Monday (21Oct13) as he returned to the rapper's childhood home in New York to launch his new TV network.
The Bad Boy Records boss officially unveiled his RevoltTV project with a trip down memory lane, appearing on the steps of the Hypnotize hitmaker's old Brooklyn pad as he credited his tragic pal with helping him achieve his dreams.
He told viewers, "Biggie and I had this dream. We set off on a
journey together. He was my partner. He was fearless. He inspires
me. And today, Biggie will help to launch REVOLT. Today, that dream
becomes a reality... This is not my network, this is your
network."
Combs announced plans for his own TV network last year (12) and
scored a lucrative deal with TV giant Time Warner Cable to carry
his music cable channel to around 12 million subscribers in June
(13).
Notorious B.I.G., real name Christopher Wallace, was shot and
killed in a Los Angeles drive-by in 1997. His murder remains
unsolved.
