Scarlett Johansson dismisses rumors of family rift
A representative for Scarlett Johansson has dismissed rumors the Hollywood actress has fallen out with her mother over her finances, insisting the pair enjoys a "solid and loving" relationship.
Scarlett Johansson's mom, Melanie Sloan, hit headlines this month (Jan12) when it was revealed she is suing for the return of a house deposit after she failed to secure a mortgage deal.
Subsequent reports suggested Sloan fell out with her daughter over
money in recent months after the Lost In Translation star dropped
her as her manager in 2009, but Scarlett Johansson's spokesperson
is adamant rumors of a rift are not true.
The rep tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Scarlett and
Melanie are as close as they have ever been. They are incredibly
proud of the solid and productive professional partnership they had
through the many years they worked together. Their personal
relationship is solid and loving."
