Sam Smith dating top model Jay Camilleri

Oscar winning singer Sam Smith is dating male fashion model Jay Camilleri.

Sam, 23, and model Jay, who works for brands including Puma and Kurt Geiger, have gone on several dates together, according to a report in British newspaper The Sun.

The pair have reportedly been going on secret dates since Sam split from dancer Jonathan Zeizel last year (15) and continues to take some time-out from the music business.

An insider told the paper Wednesday (30Mar16), “It might be early days with him and Jay, but their dates have been very promising.

The source continued, "Sam is one of the biggest stars in the world and looks incredible right now. It’s only natural he’s going to have interest from the hottest available men."

British GQ model Jay first found fame on reality TV show Dirty Sexy Things where he made a reputation for himself as a party boy. He has previously been linked to British TV presenter Chloe Madeley. Like Sam he has spoken in the past about weight issues, and has admitted his own struggles with bulimia and depression.

Sam recently took a break from using social media platform Twitter after getting into a row with writer-director Dustin Lance Black, the fiance of British Olympic diver Tom Daley.

The Oscar-winning Milk director blasted Sam for wrongly stating he was the first openly gay man to win an Oscar during his winner's speech.

The Writing's On The Wall singer has received plenty of attention after shedding 42 lbs ahead of his Academy Award appearance, where he performed the theme song to James Bond movie Spectre.

Sam is yet to comment on the rumours, preferring to keep his love life under wraps after recent controversy.
