Sam Riley's wife pregnant

British actor Sam Riley and his wife Alexandra Maria Lara are set to become first-time parents.

The couple met on the set of Joy Division movie Control in 2007 and they went on to marry.

Riley has now confirmed Lara is expecting the couple's first child, telling Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper, "I'm delighted."

Lara, who appears in new Formula 1 movie Rush, is due to give birth later this year (13).

The German actress refuses to divulge the gender of the baby, but reveals she is experiencing a number of pregnancy cravings, adding, "I could eat so much: burgers and ice cream, you name it."
