Ryan Reynolds: 'I'd fly across the world to see my wife for a day'

Ryan Reynolds is all about the romance when it comes to Blake Lively, admitting he once flew halfway across the world to see his wife for just a day.

The 39-year-old actor is one of the most in demand stars in Hollywood, with his latest offering Deadpool hitting cinemas in time for Valentine's Day weekend (14-15Feb16).

His former Gossip Girl star spouse also has a busy schedule, both with work and the couple's daughter James, so Ryan knows he has to take every opportunity to spend some time with his other half.

Asked about the most romantic thing he's ever done for Blake, Ryan replied: "I've done things where I've like flown halfway across the world to just see my wife for a day, because you've got to do that."

Ryan was joined by his stunning wife at a fan screening of Deadpool in New York on Monday night (08Feb16), with the 28-year-old actress looking incredible in a Chanel Couture dress.

Her husband also looked dapper for the occasion in his suit, and he revealed he is hoping to come up with something special for the upcoming romantic holiday - although his promotional trail for Deadpool has meant he hasn't had much time to think about Valentine's plans.

"I've been in about 15 countries in 20 days," he told Entertainment Tonight. "But I will come up with something spectacular."

Deadpool is a spin off from the X-Men movie franchise and tells the story of Ryan's mercenary character Wade Wilson/Deadpool.

The film also stars Morena Baccarin and the pair were required to shoot a whole year of sex scenes in just one day.

However, Blake isn't one to worry about the raunchy footage as she is well aware of just what is involved in filming such scenes.

"She knows as well as I do that these scenes are never sexy to film, they just look sexy in the movie," he said.
