Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield lock lips at the Golden Globes
Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield stole Ryan Gosling's thunder by kissing as the actor collected his Golden Globe gong.
The 36-year-old won the prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for his role in La La Land, and looked shocked and surprised as his name was announced by Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn.
As he made his way up to the stage, Reynolds, who was also
nominated in that category, and Garfield, who lost out on the prize
for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama to
Casey Affleck, were seen in the background locking lips.
Gosling was completely unaware of what was going on behind him as
he made his way up the steps, while Reynolds and Garfield enjoyed
the passionate smooch.
Unsurprisingly, the moment quickly caused a social media storm,
with viewers tweeting their delight over the bromantic
encounter.
“Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield need to sit next together at
every awards show. Please and thanks. #GoldenGlobes,” one viewer
wrote, while another added, "Damn! What about that kiss between
Ryan Reynoldsand Andrew Garfield!? Get you some son!!
#GoldenGlobes.”
Reynolds and Garfield's kiss was also welcomed by the Deadpool
star's wife, who appeared to find the prank hilarious as she
applauded and laughed while watching the duo embrace.
Lively is used to her husband's humor by now, having been married
to the actor since 2012. But the former Gossip Girl star may have
been slightly surprised by her spouse's comments about their sex
life during an interview on the Globes red carpet earlier in the
evening.
The couple are already parents to daughters James and Ines, and
asked by Entertainment Tonight if they might extend their family
further in the future, Reynolds replied: "I don't know. We'll see.
We'll definitely have more sex. But we'll see what happens. It's
not always a guarantee. I'm not a professional athlete,
please."
