Ryan Gosling launches Blade Runner competition

Ryan Gosling is giving Blade Runner fans a chance to visit him on the set of the sequel.

The heartthrob actor is set to star in 2017's highly-anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott’s classic 1982 sci-fi film, with original star Harrison Ford joining him along with new recruits including Jared Leto and Robin Wright.

If a second installment wasn’t exciting enough for fans already, in a new video from location in Budapest in Hungary, Ryan has revealed he’s launching a contest for people to win a trip to the set and meet him. The opportunity is for a good cause too, as he’s teamed up with charity fundraising company Omaze to support the Enough Project.

In the clip, posted by Omaze, Ryan is seen climbing into a golf buggy before introducing himself to the camera.

“We’ve teamed up with the Enough Project to help them support peace and justice in Africa,” he tells viewers. “Now, if you’re so inclined, and you make a donation, we’ll enter you for a chance to win an opportunity to come out here to Budapest and visit us on set. We can have a nice lunch, show you around, you can watch us film a scene, maybe meet Harrison Ford. But I think the most exciting part is I might let you drive my golf cart.”

Omaze has also shared photos of Ryan, 35, and 74-year-old Harrison posing with signs, with Ryan’s reading, "Come hang with us!", while the Indiana Jones star’s reads, "Or else".

Little has been revealed about the upcoming Blade Runner film, helmed by director Denis Villeneuve, with the La La Land star previously keeping mom when quizzed on it.

“I’m looking around as you say that, because I think there’s a sniper up there in the corner if I say too much,” he joked on SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly Radio earlier this year (16).
