Russell Brand manages team for charity soccer match
British actor/comedian Russell Brand joined the former manager of his favourite soccer team to field a side for a charity match in Britain on Sunday (31May15).
Brand helped his hero Harry Redknapp, former boss of the star's beloved West Ham United, manage the Men United team for the game, which was held at the ground of London club Leyton Orient to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer UK charity.
Their team featured retired soccer player Luther Blissett and
rapper Kano as well as Olympic sprinters Christian Malcolm and
Darren Campbell, but the team lost 4-3 to the Leyton Orient side,
which featured a host of retired soccer players.
Speaking after the game, Redknapp told Dailymail.com, "It was great
being out there on the touchline again, and having Russell (Brand)
with me was great fun - what a character he is."
