Ruby Rose ends engagement

Australian actress/model/Ruby Rose has ended her engagement to designer Phoebe Dahl.

The Orange Is the New Black star dated Phoebe, cousin of British supermodel Sophie Dahl, for two years before they became engaged in 2014, but now they have axed wedding plans due to the strain of their long distance relationship, according to E! News.

Ruby appeared to confirm the news by tweeting a message to the account of Phoebe's clothing line Faircloth & Supply, writing, "@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I'm a better person because of all we shared."

Phoebe replied, "@RubyRose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us."

Rose, who previously admitted Dahl had turned down her proposal three times before changing her mind, had originally planned to tie the knot in 2015, but she postponed the wedding after landing a role on the hit prison drama.

She told People.com, "When I booked Orange, I thought things were going to change a little bit and I'd be a little more busy, but obviously I underestimated it. I don't think anyone knew that my character would be taken to so well. We want to find the time to plan the wedding, but now I think it's going to be, like, next year. Originally it was going to be this year, but I feel like that's a bit too ambitious."
