Ronda Rousey marries in Hawaii

UFC star-turned-actress Ronda Rousey has become Mrs. Travis Browne after tying the knot in Hawaii on Saturday night (26Aug17).

The happy couple skipped the big fight between boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and UFC star Conor McGregor in Las Vegas over the weekend and headed to the groom's native Hawaii to exchange vows.

Dana White, President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) organization, revealed Rousey and fellow fighter Browne's wedding date on Friday (25Aug17), after explaining he had been invited to celebrate the nuptials, but had to decline to attend the highly-anticipated Sin City showdown, which he helped to organize.

Now Browne has confirmed the marriage news by sharing a sweet snap of himself and his bride on their wedding day.

"What an amazing day!!," he captioned the black-and-white Instagram photo of the smiling pair after the ceremony. "She is so perfect in every way! She makes me so happy! She is my other half! I Love You @rondarousey #browsey2017".

Ronda was featured wearing an embroidered, sleeveless gown in the shot, as she held on to her new husband's arm with both hands. Travis opted for a relaxed look for their big day, wearing a loose-fitting shirt and light-colored pants, with a lei around his neck.

The Furious 7 star became engaged to Travis in April (17), while on vacation in New Zealand, after almost two years of dating, and in July (17), the bride-to-be revealed they wanted to have a laid-back celebration.

"We're going to do, like, a backyard Mexican, Corona (beer) party, but in Hawaii," she shared on U.S. morning show Live! with Kelly and Ryan.

It's the first marriage for Ronda and the second for Browne - he wed fitness model Jenna Webb in January, 2015, but the marriage didn't last long and the couple separated five months later in June, 2015 - shortly before Browne and Rousey became an item.
