Rodney Atkins is engaged

Singer Rodney Atkins is engaged to fellow country star Rose Falcon.

Falcon, who has written songs for stars including Faith Hill and Lady Antebellum, uploaded an image of a large diamond ring on her wedding finger on Wednesday night (05Jun13), alongside a caption which read, "I forgot to tell ya... We are engaged!!"

Toby Keith's musician daughter Krystal, who is signed to Falcon's record label Show Dog-Universal Music, later congratulated her pal on the happy news in a post on Twitter.com, writing, "Congrats to my girl @RoseFalcon on her engagement to @rodneyatkins".

The nuptials will be the 44 year old's second marriage - he split from wife Tammy Jo McDonald, the mother of his son Elijah, in 2011.
